When anyone asks me what type of Yoga I teach, I usually say 'slow-ga'. I mix Hatha, Vinyasa, Astanga and Yin styles, but in a slow flowing way that gently eases your body into a state of balance and peace.
In addition to being a qualified Yoga teacher, I am also a qualified Sports Therapist and Exercise Therapist, so use a deep understanding of anatomy to work with you and your body - modifying and progressing exercises to suit. I have learned to recognise the power of the mind-body connection and how our bodies respond to emotions.
I take a trauma informed approach, working with the energy centres within the body to help create the conditions to change or release. My approach works well alongside coaching or therapy to help create a shift.
My sessions generally integrate aspects of Yoga philosophy and always finish in a way that the the body can come to stillness and connect with the inner self.
I offer online Yoga sessions on a one-to-one or small group basis. These are ideal if you are looking to:
develop your physical practice
learn to meditate
explore Yoga philosophy
integrate Yoga alongside talking therapies
Please use the contact form to enquire about sessions.
I am looking to form a closed online meditation group that will use the teachings of the Hatha Yoga Pradipika sutra as a guide to practice. Meeting online for around an hour each week, we will explore an aspect of the sutra and then sit in meditation.
The group will form (and close) once I have twelve people that are interested. Please use the contact form to register your interest and I will send you further details of the group.
